Alserkal Avenue has changed the overall cultural landscape of the UAE by providing a platform for different cultures and communities to foster International dialogue and understanding through arts and creativity. It makes a commitment to the artists, community, creatives and collectors alike to further cultivate and develop the arts scene of Dubai.

Through the vision and support of Mr. Abdelmonem Bin Eisa Alserkal, the Avenue is growing and attracting more creatives than ever. Alserkal Avenue was thrilled to welcome new creatives during Art Dubai week, such as La Galerie Nationale, Grey Noise, Showcase as well as Lammtara Pictures and FN Designs. The new additions within will bring a new wave of creativity, will invite new talent as well as continue the dialogue between art and its community.

What at a first glance looks like a block of warehouse spaces, within the avenue it houses over ten contemporary art galleries, each representing different artists and its own identity. Among them are Ayyam Gallery, Carbon12, Etemad Gallery, Isabelle Van Den Eynde, Green Art Gallery, Satellite, Lawrie Shabibi, as well as other creative spaces, such as Mojo, Gulf Photo Plus, FN Designs, Shelter and Showcase; all located in one avenue enabling the public to hop from one to the other and explore the artworks of different artists from across the globe within one block radius.

This year for the first time in the history of the Middle East two art galleries from Alserkal Avenue – Green Art Gallery and Isabelle Van Den Eynde, were selected with their projects to exhibit at Art Basel Switzerland- the mother of all fairs.

Alserkal Avenue has changed history by welcoming the first Private Art Museum & Art Collector Center in the region – Salsali Private Museum in November of 2011. It encourages the culture of collection by offering information and education to the youth about the arts scene in the MENA, as well as welcomes and connects art collectors coming from across the globe to the UAE.

In April of 2012, Alserkal family has been recognized for their contribution to the arts and culture with the Patron of the Arts award by HH Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, UAE Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai.
