Villa Borghese in Rome just inaugurated a new project dedicated to art reflecting on future and climate changes. “Back to Nature, Arte Contemporanea a Villa Borghese” opened to the public yesterday, September 15, under the curatorship of Costantino D’Orazio: an exhibition path composed of artworks by renown international contemporary artists including Andreco, Mario Merz, Mimmo Paladino, Benedetto Pietromarchi, Davide Rivalta, Grazia Toderi, Edoardo Tresoldi, and Nico Vascellari.

The project arises from the willing of valorising the historical parks of the capital and to reflect on the need of building a new relationship with nature, in this difficult period dominated by climatic issues and the pandemic.

The pieces on view were conceived or adapted for the occasion to be installed outdoor and dialogue with surrounding nature, thanks to their transparency. The project is completely new in Rome’s cultural scenario and will run until December 13, 2020: a collateral programme of events, performances, street artists’ interventions set in the park will complete the exhibition and further engage visitors.

The exhibition mainly occupies the Parco dei Daini, Piazza di Siena, and the Carlo Bilotti and Pietro Canonica museums.
