Cinema Akil and Front Row launches Relief Screening Event for Beirut
Front Row Filmed Entertainment and the Kuwait National Cinema Company have partenered with Cinema Akil to launch relief screenings on Friday August 14th and Saturday August 15th. The event features films that reflect the unity of the Lebanese people: Ziad Doueiri’s West Beirut and Nadine Labaki’s Where Do We Go Now?
Tickets for the Beirut Disaster Relief screenings are available to purchase now at Cinema Akil’s website. All proceeds from the ticket sales go to the Lebanese Red Cross relief efforts.
The move comes in solidarity with the people of Beirut after the catastrophic explosion on August 4th that left over 200 dead and thousands wounded. The damage has affected several acres of the capital city, leaving many of its inhabitants homeless and without access to basic needs and resources.
