Although Artissima, the main art fair generally taking place every year in November, has been cancelled due to the current state of emergency, this year DAMA inaugurates its 5th edition on November 4, 2020, featuring exciting news.

The 2020 programme focuses on video and performance art, presenting a more condensed edition based on the Live programme and protecting the vision of the artists themselves instead of the participation of the galleries as exhibitors.

Among the novelties of the edition, the new curatorial board is made up of Ludovica Parenti, independent curator based in Zurich, co-founder of Longtang and coming from recent experiences in the team of Liste, and Elise Lammer, who has been appointed as curator at large. Furthermore, this year’s edition is hosted at Palazzo Chiablese, a historic residence connected to the Royal Palace, and registered in the UNESCO heritage list.

The Live programme will be supported entirely by Fondazione Compagnia di San Paolo which confirms its support to DAMA for the fourth year together with Fondazione per l’Arte Moderna e Contemporanea CRT.

New collaborations include the one with Faust, a Gianluigi Ricuperati’s public program for the Turin art week, which for the occasion will occupy the room Salone degli Svizzeri to host talks, lectures and some moments of production of knowledge, as well as a visionary project by the only one Italian ‘cosmist’ painter.
