Dorsoduro Museum Mile: a new joint venture in Venice

This new itinerary imagined in Venice takes the visitors in just over a mile through the Dorsoduro district, making them traveling along a great and long tradition of art history: from the masterpieces of Medieval and Renaissance Venetian paintings of the Gallerie dell’Accademia, to the protagonists of the contemporary art scene exhibited at Punta della Dogana, passing through the two extraordinary museums of Vittorio Cini and Peggy Guggenheim, which house the collections of these great patrons together with temporary exhibitions.

The initiative, initially conceived in 2015, was born with the idea of promoting each museum within an transversal path and to enhance the “Dorsoduro sestriere” with the Dorsoduro Museum Mile, helping visitors to orient themselves across the cultural offer of the city.

The Dorsoduro Museum Mile project was created with the contribution of Assicurazioni Generali.
