Elmgreen & Dragset present Galerie Perrotin at the Grand Palais
on Saturday 24 September from 2pm to 7pm.

As a metamorphosis of their exhibition “The Well Fair” at the UCCA in Beijing earlier this year, Elmgreen & Dragset present a one-day installation at the Grand Palais in Paris on September 24th.

“The Well Fair,” for which they transformed the exhibition hall of the Ullens Center for Contemporary Art (UCCA) in Beijing into a fictional art fair, featuring 88 of their artworks displayed within a typical art fair-style grid of booths.

“Elmgreen & Dragset present Galerie Perrotin at the Grand Palais” will display Paris-based Galerie Perrotin’s FIAC art fair booth at the exact spot where it will appear during this year’s fair, except that it will be displayed as an isolated, lone entity in the middle of the magnificent Grand Palais, revealing “the simple and fragile design of an art fair booth.”

According to the curatorial statement, Elmgreen & Dragset will curate the booth from Galerie Perrotin’s roster of artists, on the proviso that the works featured in the installation must follow the same black, white, and earth tone color scheme that the artists used for the presentation of their works in “The Well Fair” at UCCA.
Opening times:
Saturday 24 September from 2pm to 7pm.

Grand Palais, the Nave, Avenue Winston Churchill, 75008 Paris
Free entrance
