FIAC: to go ahead this October

The 47th edition of Fiac (Foire Internationale d’Art Contemporain) is set to go ahead this autumn in Paris at the Grand Palais, the Petit Palais and in the Hors les Murs [public art] sites from 21-25 October, with VIP previews on 21 and 22 October. This announcement comes amidst a general air of art world uncertainty due to Covid, and a number of cancellations and hold ups where other art fairs and events are concerned this year.

Fiac’s director Jennifer Flay and its head of collectors Charlotte Ardon stated in an email sent out today to the fair’s VIP guests:

“We are working on the organisation of Fiac 2020 from 21-25 October at the Grand Palais, the Petit Palais and in the Hors les Murs [public art] sites,”

“As the situation in France gradually returns to normal and the clouds slowly lift on the horizon, it is our conviction that the values that underlie our identity as an art fair—interpersonal exchanges and first-hand, real-life contact with artworks—are more important than ever,”.
