Fondazione Prada is supporting the worldwide-famous artist Damien Hirst in his participation to the charity campaign by Save the Children: “Riscriviamo il futuro” (Let’s rewrite future). The educational initiative aims to sustain Italian children from poor environments and particularly struck by the closing of schools during the Covid19 emergency, in the belief that art and culture are fundamental in young generations’ personal development.

For the occasion, Hirst realised four new limited-edition prints, two of which featuring details from his new series of paintings “Cherry Blossoms”. The prints will be available for sale in different formats on the platform HENI Leviathan from Tuesday, September 15, 4 pm, until September 27, at midnight. All profits from the sales of the prints will be donated to Save the Children.

As Damien Hirst declared, “COVID-19 has been devastating for many people and families all over the world and lockdown has been really difficult, but especially difficult for children who haven’t been able to go to school. I wanted to find a way to raise money to help children from disadvantaged backgrounds who have been most affected by school closures and the support they provide. I’m delighted to be working with Fondazione Prada to release these new prints to help with the brilliant work Save the Children are doing across Italy, giving free access to education and opportunities to thousands and thousands of children in need.”
