From October 5–18, 2020, Frieze Sculpture returns to London, in the English Gardens of Regent’s Park, as part of an expanded Frieze Week programme. The initiative coincides with Frieze London and Frieze Masters, this year occurring with a set of both online and offline activities.

The exhibition features twelve works by leading international artists, under the curatorship of Clare Lilley (Director of Programme, Yorkshire Sculpture Park). The list of artists includes David Altmejd, Fabio Lattanzi Antinori, Gianpietro Carlesso, Eric Fischl, Patrick Goddard, Lubaina Himid, Kalliopi Lemos, Richard Long, Sarah Lucas, Gavin Turk, Rebecca Warren and Arne Quinze.

Their ambitious projects investigate a wide range of compelling issues, from equality and art’s role as a catalyst for change to our relationship with nature, the artist’s potential as a disruptor, civil rights and more.

Following in the tradition of Frieze Sculpture in endorsing new projects, the line-up features both recent works and a late commission by Lubaina Himid, conceived for the 2019 High Line in New York, and exhibited for the first time in the UK. The open-air exhibition will be also on view on Frieze digital platform, allowing worldwide art enthusiasts to engage with the pieces.
