Hypermaremma

Hypermaremma, founded in 2019 as a festival of dispersed art in the Maremma territory, integrates contemporary art pieces into the local landscape. The festival spans almost the entire year, engaging the lower Maremma through artistic interventions that invite contemporary artists to interact with the territory and its history.
This approach not only stimulates a reinterpretation of the landscape and local atmospheres but also contributes to cultural tourism, fostering synergies and collaborations with the local community and craftsmen.

Hypermaremma’s artworks are located in places with no territorial or temporal constraints, accessible at any time of day or night. In curating the festival, the dialogue between place and artistic intervention is crucial, the landscape becomes an integral part of the artwork itself and often defines its meaning.

The sixth edition of Hypermaremma, which runs until October 2024, features a series of artistic projects and installations that celebrate this integrated vision of art and territory.
