Marina Abramovic designed the poster for the upcoming Barcolana, one of the major sailing regattas in Italy, which is held annualy in the Gulf of Trieste. Every year, the organisers commission an artist to create the poster for this race, which was first held in 1969.

The city’s right-wing mayor has accused the artist of political propaganda because of the slogan pictured on the poster which says “We’re all in the same boat”.
