Massimo De Carlo opens a new gallery space in Hong Kong

Massimo De Carlo has announced that on March 21, 2016 will inaugurate a new gallery in Hong Kong, located in the Pedder Building in Central.
After many years of operating on the Asian territory, both in Mainland China and Hong Kong – including an on-going role on the selection committee board of Art Basel Hong Kong – Massimo De Carlo will start this new venture in China becoming part of its developing contemporary cultural landscape.
The new space in Hong Kong is Massimo De Carlo’s third venue: Massimo De Carlo opened his first gallery in Milan in 1987, and since then has been a crucial player in the international art scene; in 2009 he opened a second gallery in London. The Hong Kong gallery inaugurates the year before the 30th anniversary of Massimo De Carlo gallery.
The first exhibition of Massimo De Carlo, Hong Kong will be a solo show by the internationally renowned Chinese artist Yan Pei-Ming with whom Massimo De Carlo has collaborated for almost 20 years, since 1998.
The opening of Massimo De Carlo, Hong Kong will take place on March 21, 2016 during the Art Basel Hong Kong week.
