Maurizio Cattelan Goes Back to NYC with a Golden Toilet

The Italian artist breaks the artistic silence that had lasted since 2012 with an installation at the Guggenheim in New York.

On May 10th, Cattelan will install in one of the public baths of the museum a solid golden toilet, although knowing the subject may also be only plated.
The public will then have the opportunity to do their “business” in a work of art. The cycle began with the tin of Piero Manzoni’s Merda d’ Artista in 1961 it can be said finally finished with this work of Cattelan.
