Since the French President Francois Hollande had declared three days of national mourning, the ministry of culture and the prime minister have decided to close all the museums in Ille-de-France this past weekend.

The decision also affected the fair Paris Photo, which had just opened to the public on the 12th on November and was meant to be closed on Sunday the 15th.

“We were expecting another 20,000 people in those two days, and I cannot take the risk,” Jean-Daniel Compain, senior vice president of Reed Exhibitions, told the Los Angeles Times.

The fair’s management posted the announcement on the homepage by sharing Jean Jullien’s drawing of the peace symbol with the Eiffel Tower which had become viral on social media on Friday night and was mistaken by many for a Bansky work.

As well as Jullien many other artists have decided to share the grief for Paris attacks by posting their own sketches and cartoons.
