This edition of My Art Guide Berlin has been developed thanks to an incredible editorial committee formed by Maike Cruse (Director of Art Berlin), Thomas Köhler (Director of Berlinische Galerie) and Julia Rust (Director of me Collectors Room). The committee has been working to select the best and most interesting art spaces and exhibitions in town.

Maike Cruse studied Fine Art in London and moved to Berlin in 2001 to explore the city’s contemporary art scene. She began her career as Press Spokesperson for the KW Institute for Contemporary Art and the Berlin Biennale. Together with several artists, she co-initiated the momentous “Forgotten Bar Project” in the Kreuzberg district of Berlin in the summer of 2008. She joined Art Basel and Art Basel Miami Beach as Communications Manager in 2008. In 2013, she was appointed director of the Art Berlin Contemporary (ABC) art fair (now Art Berlin) and also serves as director of Gallery Weekend Berlin, one of the leading contemporary art events in Germany attracting art lovers and collectors from all over the world.
