My Art Guide Paris 2024 Editorial Committee

We are delighted to announce that the Editorial Committee for our 2024 printed edition of My Art Guide Paris includes Bénédicte Alliot, General Director of the Cité internationale des arts in Paris, Tuukka Laurila, Founder & Director of The Community and Emmanuel Perrotin, Founder of Galerie Perrotin.

My Art Guide Paris will provide a comprehensive overview of the city of Paris for the third edition of Art Basel Paris week, which runs from October 14 to October 20, 2024. Our locally based editorial committee will select all must-see exhibitions, major galleries, and art spaces. Similarly, they will curate recommendations on where to dine and stay in Paris.

Bénédicte Alliot, Ph.D, was Assistant Professor at Université Paris-Diderot, then Director of the French Institute of South Africa in Johannesburg (2002-2006) and Cultural Attachée at the French Embassy in India in New Delhi (2006-2010). She later coordinated State-to-State and City-to-City festivals at Institut français in Paris. Since 2016, she is the General Director of the Cité internationale des arts in Paris, the largest art residency center hosting simultaneously 325 artists from around the world.

Tuukka Laurila is the Founder & Director of The Community, a multidisciplinary art institution established in 2016. He co-founded The Think Tank, advising luxury brands and cultural organizations on art and cultural development. Laurila’s curatorial projects include “Houses of Tove Jansson” (2023) and “AllTogether” (2022-23). In October 2024, he will debut “The Salon by NADA and The Community,” an invitational art fair in Paris, merging contemporary art, music, fashion, and publishing.

Emmanuel Perrotin founded his gallery in 1990 at age of twenty-one. Since then, he has worked closely with his roster of artists to realize their ambitious projects along with his team. Perrotin has galleries in Paris, Hong Kong, New York, Seoul, Tokyo, Shanghai, and Los Angeles, representing about 100 artists from 27 nationalities. The gallery has expanded its mission in recent years, most notably through the production of thoughtful editorial content, such as podcast and video, as well as developing a programmatic calendar, which includes panel discussions, education workshops for children, and concerts.

The My Art Guide Paris App for iOS and Android, as well as an online issue, will be released concurrently, providing all the latest news from the art world in Paris at your fingertips during Art Basel Paris.
