My Art Guides, Your Compass in the Art World
My Art Guides is an art project. A work in progress research to map the world through contemporary art documenting the present.
The printed guides represent an archive of stills about single moments of different art scenes in the world. The digital web site is an uninterrupted stream of the changing scenarios telling the different movements in the arts around the world.
My Art Guides is the result of the work of an international network of people based in different parts of the world and reporting constantly about their local art scene. Thank to this, My Art Guides is a tool able to be an answer to the growing need of being guided in a changing and complex worldwide reality.
After three years, My Art Guides has become a point of reference in the contemporary art scenario, appreciated by art lovers and professionals all over the world.
My Art Guides refers to an audience interested in knowing “where”, “what” and “when” Art is happening, with a particular attention to independent spaces, underground movements, emerging artists and new art destinations. My Art Guides, to complete the scenario, considers also a crucial fourth dimension “who” which refers to people: artists, curators and collectors.
Now My Art Guides is launching the new era of its on-line version, enriched with contents and unique tools. My Art Guides transforms the use of the web platform into a personal experience offering the chance to live the contemporary art world in the way you prefer.
Registered users have the possibility to customize their navigation experience and create their own wall feed in order to “live” the contemporary Art Scene in their favourite way. The subscribed art lovers can follow the Destinations, Art Spaces, People, Fairs or Biennials to be always up to dated.
Logged Users can also create their own My Art Guide with selected contents of a single Destination, Fair or Biennial by choosing the Exhibitions to see, the Art Spaces to visit, the Restaurants where to eat, the Hotels where to stay.
This is just a beginning as further useful tools will be released in the next months…
