OGR: Brand New Day

On June 25th OGR in Turin celebrates OGR Tech‘s first birthday, with 12 hours of live streamed cross pollination between art and digital innovation – from 11am to 11pm

OGR Tech is a 12,000 square metre hub for creative collaboration and an incubator of ideas, with a specific focus on start-ups, creative industries and smart data. Designed and created by Fondazione CRT, OGR tech strives to develop and promote Italian tech and innovation on an international scale.

From 11am – 12pm a webinar will be broadcast on OGR’s social media channels, under the title of The digital R-evolution of OGR TechThe online talk will delve into pressing and current topics such as Big Data, Artificial Intelligence, gaming, social entrepreneurship, art and digital innovation.

With Massimo Lapucci (General Manager of OGR and  General Secretary of Fondazione CRT), Silvia Candiani (CEO of Microsoft Italy), Davide Dattoli (CoFounder and CEO of Talent Garden, OGR Tech’s operating partner), Valerio Di Donato (CEO of 34BigThings), Ciro Cattuto (Associate Professor at the Department of Computer Science of the University of Turin, Principal Scientist of ISI Foundation), Patrick Tuttofuoco  (visual artist), Nicola Ricciardi  (Artistic Director of OGR Torino). Moderated by Matteo Pessione (operations coordinator of OGR Torino and Professor of Management and Marketing of Creative Industries at the University of Turin) and hosted by Carlo Pastore, (radio presenter).

From 4pm – 6pm, there will be free guided tours of How exhibitions come to life, with Artistic Director Nicola Ricciardi and the OGR curatorial team, to narrate OGR’s recent artistic history, beginning with William Kentridge’s “Procession of reparationists”, an installation inspired by photographs of XIX and XX century industrial workers in northern Italy. 

From 9pm – 11pm, Brand New Day – Showa two hour long live streamed dj set, organised by OGR Cult together with Club To Club Festival, featuring the hottest talent from Turin’s notorious electronic music scene: 72-Hour Post Fight, PALM WINE, SPIME.IM, Virginia W
