The exhibition program of Palazzo Grassi – Punta della Dogana presents two new exhibitions from Sunday 8 April 2018: a monograph dedicated to the German artist Albert Oehlen and Dancing with Myself, a group show that investigates the importance of self-representation in artistic production from the 70s to today.

Curated by Caroline Bourgeois, the exhibition by Albert Oehlen traces a path along the production of the artist through a selection of about 85 works, from the best known to the less known, made from the 80s to today and coming from the Pinault Collection and important private collections and international museums.

Dancing with Myself” brings together about 100 works from the Pinault Collection – from Claude Cahun to LaToya Ruby Frazier, from Gilbert & George to Cindy Sherman, from Alighiero Boetti to Maurizio Cattelan, in dialogue with a selection of works from the Folkwang Museum, and is presented in a unpublished version for the Punta della Dogana exhibition spaces with over 45 works not exhibited during the exhibition in Essen.
