The international fair Photo London returns in May 2020 for its sixth edition set, as tradition, in the neoclassical architecture of Somerset House. Running from May 14 – 17, 2020, the fair has just announced the list of participant galleries and the main highlights of the programme.

Photo London 2020 will stand out as usual for its focus on the best historic and vintage works and its spotlight, at the same time, on fresh perspectives in contemporary photography.
At the moment, the Fair’s Curatorial Committee has confirmed 93 exhibitors from 22 different countries, retaining Photo London’s traditional global perspective.
A significant number of young galleries featured before in the Discovery section dedicated to emergent institutions, this year will be included in the Main Section, confirming the fair’s strong interest in new trends. Moreover, a sharp curatorial focus will be evident in the established galleries’ booths, proving once more the Fair’s ultimate mission to promote excellence in photography.

Among the highlights of the programme, the Master of Photography Award, assigned every year to a leading contemporary photographer, also at the centre of a solo exhibition at the fair. This year’s recipient will be the Iranian artist Shirin Neshat, whose photographic series ‘The Home of My Eyes’ (2015) will be shown here for the first time in the UK, besides the film “Roja” (2015), a site-specific photo-installation, unseen mood books, studies, and finished photographs of her.
