Thaddaeus Ropac’s New Location Opening in London in 2017
Galerie Thaddaeus Ropac will open a newest space at the Ely House in Mayfair, London in the Spring of 2017. This would mark the opening of a fourth location for the gallery, which also has two spaces in Paris and one is Salzberg. While the announcement follows a time of political uncertainty in London, Thaddaeus Ropac’s intentions, as stated in the press release issued by the gallery, are in recognizing London’s permanence as a vibrant center for art and culture.
The Galerie Thaddaeus Ropac was founded in 1983 by Austrian gallerist Thaddaeus Ropac and has specialized in International contemporary art. With its galleries in Paris Marais,Pantin (France), Salzburg (Austria) and London (coming soon), Galerie Thaddaeus Ropac represents around sixty artists including very established names, mid-career artists and emerging young talents as well as several renowned estates.
