Townhouse Gallery Reopens in a New Location in Cairo

The gallery, founded in 1998, had been closed at the end of 2015 and has since then had a difficult year.
After its temporary re-opening in February, and then a partial demolition by the authorities at the beginning of Spring, Townhouse settled in its new venue – which used to be a paper factory – hosting a show by Bryony May.
However just last Tuesday the staff posted on the gallery’s Facebook page that it will be closed once again until the 12th of November due to the protests for Egypt’s economical situations that will take place on the 11th of November.
