Triennale Milano launches a peaceful protest initiative against the murders and violence in Iran
Triennale invites you to leave a small lock of your hair, tied with a string of rope, in the entrance hall of the Palazzo dell’Arte, in a special container. An act that is inspired by that courageously carried out by Iranian women in the squares of the main cities. The collected locks will be delivered to the Consulate General of the Islamic Republic of Iran, as a peaceful gesture of protest against the murderous violence of the police and of solidarity with those who these days risk their lives to defend the inalienable right to individual freedom.
The collected locks will then be delivered to the Consulate General of the Islamic Republic of Iran in protest. Stefano Boeri, President of Triennale Milano, declares: “Resuming a request from some members of the Milanese Iranian community, Triennale Milano today launches a peaceful protest against the murders and the unacceptable violence that is affecting young women and young men in Iran who are asking for a minimum degree of freedom and civilization to be restored”.
