Warehouse421 and Cinema Akil join into a new initiative committed to shade light on contemporary Arab cinema and with its 5th year of partnership, they are excited to share with the public the films “The Borrowed Dress” by Leen Alfaisal, “Honey Dust and Rain” by Nujoom Al Ghanem, and “Talking About Trees” by Suhaib Gasmelbari.

The fall 2020 edition includes three documentary screenings made available for viewing three days over the digital streaming platform Screeners, allowing registered participants ample time to contemplate and revisit each work ahead of the live virtual Q&A with the film’s director on October 28, November 18, and December 9, respectively, at 7:30 PM UAE time.

Commenting on the collaboration with Cinema Akil, Faisal Al Hassan, Head of Warehouse421, stated: “We are delighted to launch the fifth iteration of our film program in partnership with Cinema Akil. Despite the current circumstances, this documentary film program in its virtual iteration reflects our commitment to maintain an active relationship with the community. We aspire to not just be a screening platform, we aim to showcase inspiring human stories that act as a catalyst to deep conversations, new initiatives, and creative projects.”
