The 8th Edition of Zurich Art Weekend takes place from Friday, 13 June to Sunday, 15 June 2025.
During this three days of curated exhibitions and events, artists, curators, collectors, and enthusiasts come together to experience the international contemporary art scene. Free and open to all, this city-wide celebration is hosted by museums, galleries, off-spaces, publishers, collections, and foundations across Zurich. In collaboration with 71 venues, the programme features more than 75 exhibitions and over 150 events, showcasing the work of 180+ established and emerging artists.
Zurich Art Weekend 2025 presents an artist-centred edition that spotlights the international art world. Building on the success of 2024—which welcomed over 45,000 visitors—this year’s event reinforces its commitment to critical dialogue and meaningful connections.
A diverse programme developed by Zurich’s leading museums, institutions, and galleries—alongside top universities, experimental off-spaces, and esteemed public and private collections—showcases the vitality of contemporary art on both national and international stages. Zurich Art Weekend remains committed to accessibility and inclusion through its free, open-access format.
Acting as a catalyst for exchange, Zurich Art Weekend positions the city as a hub for artistic experiences and encounters—where diverse voices converge. During ZAW, Zurich transforms into an essential meeting point for the global art community, offering a vibrant mix of exhibitions and exclusive curated events. The weekend also fosters interdisciplinary dialogue to broaden understanding of artistic practices.
Launched in 2018 with a vision to unify Zurich’s art ecosystem and strengthen its role in the global conversation, Zurich Art Weekend has grown from 35 to over 70 participating venues and organisations. Supported by a distinguished academic committee of curators, artists, museum directors, and critics, the initiative has attracted an annual audience of more than 45,000 visitors. It remains focused on artist-driven content, dynamic programming, and professional networking.
