Eun Me Ahn
Eun-Me Ahn studied contemporary dance in Seoul at Ehwa Woman’s University. She founded Ahn Eun-Me Company in 1988 before moving to New York in 1991 to study at the Tisch School of the Arts at New York University. In 2001 she returned to Korea where she continues her choreographic and performance practice. She has been invited to the most important international festivals, such as the Pina Bausch Festival, Wuppertal in 2001. Starting with anthropological choreography, together with old Korean ladies, she created Dancing Grandmothers in 2007 and often worked with non-professionals in contemporary dance. Eun Me Ahn has received numerous awards as a dancer and choreographer.
