Anetta Mona Chisa & Lucia Tkacova

Anetta Mona Chişa & Lucia Tkáčová have been working in collaboration since 2000. They both graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts and Design in Bratislava. They work across a variety of media including video, drawing and sculpture, often employing performance, intervention, language and game tactics in their acts. Dominant aspect of their artistic practice is the questioning of common social habits and routines, mainly from the gender point of view, within cultural operation and institutional context. Their work has been widely internationally exhibited. Forming an collective – female artistic couple was a way of resistance to the customary social conventions.
