Audrey Hoareau began her carrier working in the collection department of the musée Nicéphore Niépce in Chalon-sur-Saône from 2003 to 2016. She conducted several studies on the archive before focusing on exhibitions (André Steiner in 2011, Henri Dauman in 2013).Since 2016, she has contributed to the launch of the Lianzhou Museum of Photography in China and has become Assistant Director.She has been working as freelancer since 2017, and centres her activity around setting up photographic projects, managing archives for photographers and collaborations with galleries and institutions. She founded and directs with François Cheval a platform which supports international projects devoted to photography, The Red Eye.She co-curated significant exhibition such as “Dancing in the Street. Peter Knapp et la Mode. 1960-1970” in Cité de la Mode et du Design, Paris, “Isabel Muñoz. La Antropología de los Sentimientos” in Tabacalera, Madrid or an international touring exhibition dedicated to Stephen Shames and his Black Panthers archive.
