Aurora Noreña
Aurora Noreña graduated in Architecture from UAM-Azcapotzalco and holds a Master’s degree in Visual Arts from the National School of Plastic Arts at UNAM.
She has received various distinctions, including the Acquisition Prize at the 11th National Young Art Meeting in Aguascalientes in 1991; an Honourable Mention in Sculpture at the October Salon 2001 of the Omnilife Grand Prize, Guadalajara, Jalisco; the Jóvenes Creadores grant (1996–1997) in Sculpture; and the Grant for the Promotion of Cultural Projects and Co-investments for the project “Corrientes Invisibles”, both awarded by FONCA, as well as the art residency.
