Beatrice Favaretto
Born in Venice, 1992
Beatrice Favaretto, born in Venice in 1992, graduated from the Venice Academy of Fine Arts in 2015 and pursued further studies in Cinema and Video Art at the Brera Academy of Fine Arts in Milan, completing her education in 2018.
Favaretto has received several accolades. In 2024, she was awarded the ArteVisione Prize organized by Careof in Milan. The previous year, she won the Lydia Prize for Contemporary Art, promoted by Fondazione Il Lazzaretto and PAC Milano, and completed an artist residency at Nuovo Forno del Pane, organized by MAMbo in Bologna. In 2021, she was a fellow at the Bevilacqua La Masa Foundation in Venice and a finalist in the inaugural edition of Biennale College Arte, curated by Cecilia Alemani and Marta Papini. In 2020, she was the winner of the Artists’ Film Italia Recovery Fund, organized by Lo Schermo dell’Arte in Florence, and a finalist for the DucatoPrize.
Recent exhibitions include: in 2024, she participated in Hold Me While I’m Naked at PAC Padiglione d’Arte Contemporanea in Milan, LOOKATMEIII at the Royal Hammam Sauna in Milan, and STUCK! with The One Minutes Foundation in Amsterdam. In 2023, her work was featured in Com’è bello far l’amore at Lateral in Rome and The Cut Out Body at Onomatopee in Eindhoven. Earlier exhibitions include Nel paese delle ultime cose in 2022 at Manifattura Tabacchi and NAM – Not a Museum in Florence, and the presentation of the Artists’ Film Italia Recovery Fund at GAMeC in Bergamo. In 2021, she showcased her work at CLAMOR in Sala Santa Rita in Rome, ArtCity Bologna at Cassero LGTBI+ in Bologna, and PRIME TIME at the Magic Lantern Film Festival hosted by Fondazione smART in Rome.
