Martin Bethenod

Martin Bethenod is Director of the Centre national des arts plastiques (Cnap), a position he took up in January 2026. A prominent figure in the French visual arts sector, he has served as Director of Publications at the Centre Pompidou, Delegate for Visual Arts at the Ministry of Culture and General Commissioner of FIAC. He was also Managing Director of Palazzo Grassi – Punta della Dogana and oversaw the development of the Bourse de Commerce project with François Pinault. Since 2021, he has worked as an independent consultant, curator, writer and teacher.
