Given that her practice encompasses visual works that are texts and texts that are visual works, Verónica Gerber Bicecci usually describes herself as a visual artist who writes. More accurately, I believe, she is a practitioner who has fiercely bridged the gap between literature and the visual arts whilst also exploring the limits of both as sources of sensory perception. Gerber Bicecci’s interest in whatever remains unsaid, unseen, or invisible has been channeled into visual concerns that express themselves through literature (and inversely).
