Julio Bittencourt

Born in Sao Paulo, 1980 and lives in Sao Paulo, Brazil

Julio Bittencourt was born in 1980 in Brazil and grew up between Sao Paulo and New York. His works are part of important collections in Brazil and abroad, such as the Leica Collection (Germany), Kiyosato Museum of Photographic Arts (Japan), Pinacoteca do Estado de São Paulo, Pirelli/Masp Photography Collection, Conrado Wessel Foundation, Itau Cultural Institute, Bolsa de Arte do Rio de Janeiro and Joaquim Paiva Collection, MAM-Rio de Janeiro. He is the author of two books, “In a window of Prestes Maia 911 building”and “Ramos”, and has received several awards such as the Oskar Barnack Award, Aperture Prize, Conrado Wessel Foundation Award, International Photography Awards, Marc Ferrez Prize, among others.
