Hetal Chudasama

Born in Vadodara-Gujarat, 1984

She uses symbolic objects, gestures, rituals and pictorial narrative to examine the source that confronts the questions of survival and existence, limitation and liberation. Her projects develops around multiple works that simultaneously incorporate a variety of mediums like painting, site specific installation, sculptures, performance, video, various craft techniques that she is deeply involved to bring in to her visual practice and producing a body of work that surfaces from multiple layer of expression.
Born in 1984, Hetal obtained her Bachelor’s degree and Master’s degree in Painting from the Faculty of Fine Arts, Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda, in 2008 and 2010 respectively.  Hetal was awarded the Scholarship from the Krishnakriti Foundation in 2009; and in 2010, Hetal won the prestigious French Embassy and the Krishnakriti Foundation Fellowship for a residency at Marseille, France.
