Specifically ideologies associated with play, creativity and productivity in contemporary society; buzz words whose contextual meanings often overlap. Fernandes is particularly interested in this conflation of meaning; especially when used as instruments in maintaining cultural norms, social integration and as tools for the construction of the individual and society. She works across a variety of mediums from drawing to sound and video installations.
