Naomi Fisher
Born in Miami, Florida, 1976 and lives in Miami
Born in Miami in 1976. Daughter of a botanist, Naomi Fisher explores the chaotic opposition between Nature and the structured forces of culture and civilization.
This evolved into an art practice grounded in painting, photography, and performances in the late 90’s. Since then her work has evolved into performances and videos investigating movement, landscape, costume and adornment.
Fisher‘s paintings, photographs, and videos have been exhibited internationally in such venues as the Palais de Tokyo in Paris, the Pinchuk Art Center in Kiev, the Halle fur Kunst in Luneburg, the Kemper Museum in Kansas City, the Kunsthalle Wein in Vienna, the Kunsthaus Baselland in Basel, the Deste Foundation in Athens, the New Museum in NY and the Vizcaya Museum and Gardens in Miami.
