Francesco Urbano Ragazzi
Francesco Urbano Ragazzi is a curatorial duo born in 2005 with the desire to experiment with production, exhibition, writing and research formats. His main lines of interest are three: gender studies, digital aesthetics and emerging territories. In the couple’s work process, the exhibitions are often the result of residency programs. Collaborations with public and private institutions include: Institut Français and Cité Internationale des Arts (Paris), Ruya Foundation (Baghdad), Emirates Foundation (Abu Dhabi), Futura – center for contemporary art (Prague), Frize Künstlerhaus (Hamburg) , Sinopale (International Sinop Biennale), Galeri Manâ (Istanbul), A Palazzo Gallery, National Gallery of Palazzo Arnone, Bevilacqua La Masa Foundation, Venice Foundation. Francesco Urbano Ragazzi gave lectures and performances in academic and museum spaces, including MAXXI (Rome), Teatrino di Palazzo Grassi (Venice), Zurcher Hochschule der Kunste (Zurich), Macro (Rome), Iuav University and Ca ‘Foscari (Venice ). The duo has written for online and offline magazines such as Purple Fashion, Nero, L´Uomo Vogue, Undo.net, Flashart, South As at State of Mind, Aqnb. In 2011 and 2013 curator of the Internet Pavilion of Miltos Manetas. In 2015 for the Venice Biennale he starts The Internet Saga with Jonas Mekas.
