Francesco Zanatta

Born in Treviso, 1989 and lives in Venice

Born in Treviso in 1989, Francesco Zanatta studied painting at the Academy of Fine Arts in Venice.

His artistic research explores the emotional relationship between objects, places and the self. He builds an active negotiation with the world, bringing to light new values and unexpected meanings. The objects he has gathered over the years (drawings, studies, writings, photographs and organic fragments) have gradually contributed to the construction of his visual language. This collection forms an archive, a system of visual notes and a strategy for capturing the ordinary, often shaped by chains of events and unforeseen encounters.

He understands painting as a practice that over the years has allowed him to train and strengthen the muscle of looking – through its rhythms and rules, it shapes reality, giving new life to his observations and transforming them into more powerful visions.
