Gaëlle Choisne
Born in Cherbourg, 1985 and lives in Paris, London
Gaëlle Choisne (born in 1985 in Cherbourg) lives and works in Paris and London. She is involved in various private and public institutions, alternative projects, collective projects and cultural extra-projects in Haiti. She has presented her sculptural installations on different occasions: a solo exhibition at La Centrale Powerhouse in Montreal, Untilthen Gallery in Paris, Zacheta in Warsaw, The Mistake Room in Los Angeles. She has participated in several residencies in France and abroad: OPTICA and Art3 Valence in Montreal, the Cité internationale des arts in Paris, the Rijksakademie in Amsterdam and the Atelier Van Lieshout residency. She also participated in 2015 in the Havana International Biennial and the Lyon International Biennial, and in 2017 in the Sharjah Biennial, Beirut Tamawuj Act II, and the Curitiba Biennial, Brazil. She has had the chance to exhibit her work in remarkable institutions, such as the Musée des Beaux-Arts in Lyon, the MAMO of Le Corbusier’s Cité Radieuse, the archaeological site Lattara – Musée Henri Prades in partnership with the MO.CO in Montpellier, the CAFA Museum in Beijing and the Pera Museum in Istanbul.
