Maurizio Galimberti

Born in Como, 1956 and lives in Milan

Maurizio Galimberti is an internationally renowned photographer known for his innovative Polaroid mosaics. Initially exploring analog photography, he fully embraced Polaroid photography in 1983, pioneering the “Photographic Mosaic” technique. His work deconstructs and reconstructs images, offering a fragmented yet dynamic vision of reality, inspired by the Futurist photodynamism of the Bragaglia brothers.

Galimberti’s portraits, capturing figures from cinema, art, and culture—including Johnny Depp, Lady Gaga, and Robert De Niro—earned him international recognition. He has published books and staged site-specific exhibitions in New York, Paris, Milan, Rome and Venice.
