Eva Grubinger
Born in Salzbrug, 1970 and lives in Berlin and Austria
Eva Grubinger (b. 1970 in Salzburg, Austria) received her MA degree from the Universität der Künste Berlin, formally the Hochschule der Künste Berlin. Recent solo exhibitions include Trespassing at the Museum der Moderne, Salzburg (2009); Spartacus at the Schirn Kunsthalle, Frankfurt am Main (2007); and Ravenous at Random Gallery/ Air de Paris & Praz-Delavallade, Paris (2006). Selected Group exhibitions include Secret Societies at CAPC – Musee d’art contemporain de Bordeaux (2011) ; Out of Control at Krannert Art Museum, Illinois (2009); and Good Gangsters at Taipei Fine Art Museum (2008). Eva Grubinger was a resident fellow at the Villa Aurora in Los Angeles in 2007 and artist in residence at Baltic Centre for Contemporary Art in Gateshead, UK in 2003. She currently lives and works in Berlin and Austria, where she has been serving as chair for Sculpture-transmedial Space at Kunstuniversität Linz since 2007. Eva Grubinger is represented by Kerstin Engholm Gallery in Vienna.
