Guglielmo Castelli
Lives in Turin
Guglielmo Castelli (b. 1987, Turin, Italy) lives and works in Turin.
Working across painting, sculpture, drawing, collage and experiments with textiles, Castelli develops a visual language in which materials, surfaces and different modes of image-making interact. Set within elusive scenographies, his figures seem to move through emotional states rather than physical spaces — affective thresholds rather than defined environments. Colour, materiality, transparency and overlapping layers contribute to the construction of an unstable, constantly transforming space.
His works take shape as suspended images, in which identity remains fluid and space emerges as a field of tension between presence and absence.
