Hannu Palosuo, portrait.

Hannu Palosuo was born in 1966 in Helsinki, Finland. In 1989 he was in Rome, with a scholarship, where he attended the Faculty of Letters and Philosophy of the University of Studies “La Sapienza” with the address of “History of Modern Art” and the Academy of Fine Arts. After a few years he moved permanently to Rome where he lives and works. There are many experiences of artistic work in Europe and outside. Palosuo becomes the architect of a modern figuration that reveals how a recurring theme can be of absolute relevance. On the evocation of memory and remembrance, the artist sets daily life as the protagonist of the paintings, with contrasting but concordant tones to highlight the positive and negative image, its presence and its emptiness. He also participated in the Venice Biennale in 2009, 2011 and 2013, at the Cairo Biennale in 2010 and at the Curitiba Biennale in 2017 and 2019.
