Tsuyoshi Hisakado

Born in Kyoto, 1981 and lives in Kyoto, Japan

Hisakado collects a variety of phenomena and histories from small and ordinary things in our daily life, and creates theatrical spaces with individual memories and stories using sound, light and objects. In 2002, he has joined the artist group “SHINCHIKA” as a sound crew. In 2016, Starting with the world premiere at “Kyoto Experiment: Kyoto International Performing Arts Festival 2016 Spring” in March, he directed stage art and music for “Time’s Journey Through a Room”, the latest work performed by a theatrical unit “chelfitsch”. In addition, he participated “Aichi Triennale”, 80 artists who act globally exhbit their works. Now he has a worldwide reputation for his creations. Awards: Kyoto City’s Special Encouragement Program for Art (2015), Audience Award of Nissan Art Award(2015) and VOCA Prize(2016)
