Ivan Šuković
Born in Podgorica, 1981
Ivan Šuković earned his PhD from the University of Arts in Belgrade, the Multimedia Art Department, in 2019. He received his Master of Arts degree from the Department of Digital Art and New Media in Belgrade, and his Bachelor of Arts degree in literature from the Faculty of Philosophy, the University of Montenegro.
He had several solo exhibitions in the period from 2011 to 2021 and presented his work in group exhibitions in Austria, Germany, Great Britain, Russia and Italy in addition to the countries in the region. Representative of Montenegro at the 59th International Art Exhibition of the Venice Biennale in 2022. He was among the finalists of the Milčik Award in 2019.
He furthered his art education at the International School – University of Oslo, Norway, in 2009. He participated in a Takt Artist Residency project in Berlin in 2013. He has received a number of awards for his work. His work is included in some museums and private collections.
