Chief Curator of the Museo Jumex
Kit Hammonds is the Chief Curator of the Museo Jumex in Mexico City, where he leads exhibitions, public and educational programmes, publications, and grants and scholarships. His exhibitions for the museum have included solo shows such as Jannis Kounellis in “Six Acts” (2024, in collaboration with Walker Art Center); Gabriel Kuri: “Forecast” (2024); Sofia Taboas: “Gama Termica / Temperatura Ambiente” (2023); James Turrell: “Passages of Light” (2020) and “Learning to Read with John Baldessari” (2017). Group exhibitions have included “Silhouettes in the Undergrowth” (2024), “Normal Exceptions: Contemporary Art in Mexico” (2021), and “Scripted Reality: The Life and Art of Television” (2019).
