Léon Kruijswijk

Léon Kruijswijk is a curator at the KW Institute for Contemporary Art in Berlin and also works as a freelance curator and writer. His practice focuses on themes of queer theory, gender, activism, and institutional critique, spanning visual arts, literature, film, experimental music, dance, and
performance. At KW, he has co-curated exhibitions with artists such as Alexis Blake, Coco Fusco, Michele Rizzo, and Luiz Roque. In the Netherlands, he has curated events for Framer Framed, NEVERNEVERLAND, and De School Amsterdam. His writings have appeared in TextWork, Mister Motley, and Metropolis M, and he has contributed to artist publications and the anthology Queer Exhibition Histories. He studied Museology and Contemporary Art History at the University of Amsterdam.
