Jumana Manna

Manna’s work explores the construction of human identity in relation to historical narratives and subcultural communities, primarily through video and sculpture. She employs a language of minimalism and abstraction to reformulate familiar objects into a state of ambiguity and weaves together portraits of morally dubious characters or events. Recent exhibitions include Kunsthal Oslo, Bergen Assembly (2013) and the 11th Sharjah Biennial (2013)
