Michael Ross
Michael Ross (b. 1954, Buffalo) has spent the past three decades concentrating on small, meticulously crafted wall-mounted sculptures made from scraps, anonymous hardware, and other modest materials. His earliest miniature works included a single upright thimble filled with dust collected from several rooms of his home. Through their intimate scale, Ross’s sculptures emphasise both the careful selection of materials and the unexpected significance they can carry, regardless of size.
