Pablo Uribe (Uruguay) lives and works in Uruguay. He has had fifteen solo exhibitions and participated in over fifty group exhibitions in Uruguay, Peru, Brazil, Argentina, Mexico, Sweden, Venezuela, Italy, France, Germany and the United States. He represented Uruguay in various occasions, among which are: the 53 Biennale di Venezia, Italy; the 2nd and 4th Bienal do Mercosul, Brazil; the Printmaking Biennial, Buenos Aires, Argentina; the 7th Havana Biennial, Cuba; the 5th International Biennial of Banners, Mexico and the 5th Vento Sul Biennial, Curitiba, Brazil. In 2001 the Ministry of Education and Culture granted him the Grand National Prize of Visual Arts for his triptych Prueba de Cielo. He was invited to the 2nd Multimedia Art Festival in Belfort, France; the Intermodem Festival in The Modem Art Centre, Debrecen, Hungary; the Residency at the Latin American Roaming Art (LARA) in Colombia; and the 33rd Panorama of Brazilian Art in the Museum of Modern Art in São Paulo, Brazil.
